Custom Teflon High Performance Bags
Barrier films are used in dozens of applications ranging from simple lay flat bags to complex multi-layer three dimensional containers.
High performance bags are used in the following industries and for the following applications:
- Gas & Vapor sampling bags
- Soil sampling bags
- Specimen collection bags
- Custom packaging bags
- Moisture sensitive packaging bags
- Cryopreservation overwrap bags
- Composite molding vacuum bags
- Epoxy mixing chemical bags
- Solvent recovery bags
Barrier bags
Not all bags are created equal! Sure, you can buy an off the shelf bag, but if your barrier bag requirements demand an engineered solution, then ingeniven is here to help you.
Ingeniven can help you design the bag that is right for you… Our engineers can guide you thru the simple, yet often overlooked issues to insure you have the right bag for the job.
When designing a bag, you should know the physical dimensions (Length, width, and Height) In addition to the volume it will need to hold.
What will the bag be required to do? Are moisture, sunlight, chemical attack, puncture resistance, re-sealability important?
What is the best material for your particular application, and what is the best way to seal it?
Do you need a valve, septum fitting, tube, spout etc…..we can help you design and fabricate a custom solution.
Is the bag going to support weight that might cause the material itself to fail? If so, then a liner is quite often a better choice. Ingeniven can fabricate pail, drum, and tank liners for any size or shape container you have.
Useful tip
A common mis-conception is that a bag with wider seals is always stronger, when in fact, a properly made thermoplastic weld has the same peel strength, regardless of width.
Ingeniven designs and fabricates bags for the following applications:
Gas and Vapor Sampling
Gas sample bags are commonly used to gather and store gas and vapor samples from a test site for analysis. They are economical and easy to use. Ingeniven’s founder started in the sampling industry, and has used sample bags. We understand the issues that are faced by people in the field and can offer assistance. Our knowledge of materials, and our commitment to the “Guy in the field” are what sets us apart. We will do everything but do the sampling for you!
Rapid delivery, low prices, drop shipping directly to sampling sites.
Soil Sampling
Inert bags or liners are used when non-contamination of the sample is imperative. Teflon FEP, Tedlar, and Modified PTFE are all good choices for bags. The addition of a clip-n-seal closure mechanism is a great way to insure that the sample is sealed, yet can be easily re-opened and sealed multiple times.
Vacuum Bags
The demand for light weight and strong composite structures is growing, and as a result more manufacturers are looking to high performance fabrics and resins to replace traditional materials. Military, sport, and model aircraft, sporting goods, Canoes and kayaks, race cars, are just a few examples of products that use composite technology. Vacuum Bagging is the standard method of fabrication when producing composite parts, and Ingeniven cam fabricate custom vacuum bags to any shape or size. In many cases, Ingeniven can pre-fabricate vacuum bags with bleeder and breather cloth already installed so that all one has to do is open the bag, insert the part and seal the bag.
Overwrap Bags
Overwrap bags are used as a secondary level of containment in cryogenic storage applications: cord blood banks, stem cell research, cryopreservation of tissue samples, immunotherapy and all types of cell collection applications that require a cryogenic bag.
Typically, Fluoropolymer films are used for overwrap bags due to their wide thermal operating range. FEP, PFA, Modified PTFE are all good choices.
Ingeniven can also guide you in specifying the correct sealing technology for closing the bags at your location after they are filled.
Unique sealed shapes can be produced. Please send us your project details for evaluation. We will be delighted to help you.
